1.Material

Seawater desalination plants consist of pre-treatment filters, Reverse Osmosis equipment, backwashing components and include dosing systems, sand filters, activated carbon filters, micro filter, RO system and optional post UV device or Ozone device.

Reverse Osmosis Membrane TechnologyMembrane Technology Membrane desalination is a mature technology, applied commercially worldwide to reduce salinity for portable water, wastewater reclamation and industrial application.

Power consumption of reverse osmosis (RO) desalination process is the lowest among the commercial desalination methods. The overall product water cost is compatible with other alternatives of potable water supply.

2.Specification

• Adapted membranes with high desalination ratio and low running pressure from HYDRANAUTICS USA or FILMTEC USA, to reduce the running cost, and prolong the equipment lifespan.

• Adapted high efficiency low noise high pressure pump to reduce the power consumption and guarantee a stable and quiet running.

• Low pressure and high pressure protector switches to prevent any damage from water shortages and pipeline block. Conductivity monitor for continuous live monitoring to guarantee a high quality permeate water.

• Flow meter for end-product water and concentrate water to monitor and adjust the output capacity and system permeate recovery ratio.

• Equipped with Mitsubishi PLC for automatic control of auto running from raw water to end-product water and backwash process.

• Adjustable fully automatic backwash time controller so the RO membrane surface can be fast timing rinsed to reduce the pollution, and prolong the membrane life-span.

• Larger units incorporate Energy Recovery Systems from ERI.
